THE WEAVER'S SONG CD release concert: STAN SCOTT with Steve Gorn, Nitin Mitta, Hrishi Somayaji and the Rangila Chorus CD Release Concert and Party

Purchase your autographed, first-edition CD at the concert! PLEASE RSVP (for a head count for dinner) to:  Rajani at 203-795-9516, or Dora at 860-343-9165. Stan (voice and guitar) will be joined on bansuri bamboo flute by Steve Gorn (who has recorded with Paul Simon and Paul Winter and has performed with Hariprasad Chaurasia and Raghunath Seth), tabla by Nitin Mitta (who performs regularly with India’s most renowned touring artists) harmonium by Connecticut’s own Hrishi Somayaji, and vocally by Rajani Nadkarni, Saiyara Fahmi, and other singers of the Rangila Chorus.  CD’s will be available for sale, and there will be a delicious dinner prepared by Stan’s students. “The Weaver’s Song:  Bhajans of North India,” features devotional songs from the 1400’s to the present day, composed by Kabir, Surdas, and Stan’s own gurus including Pt. Vidyadhar Vyas, Sri Mohan Singh Khangura, and the late Sushil Mukherjee, to whose memory the CD is dedicated. COME TO HELP US CELEBRATE!
